Who we are
St. Cecilia has stood at the corner of Sixth and Organ Hall since 1907 — a downtown parish built by mill workers and named for the patroness of musicians. We are known for our sacred music: a full schola, a great organ, and liturgies that let silence and song do the preaching. Come for a concert; stay for the Mass.
Through the years
The parish survived the fire of 1931, which spared the sanctuary but took the roof; the rose window installed during the rebuilding is now the finest in the diocese. The 44-rank Casavant organ was consecrated in 1958 and still leads every Sunday Mass.
